VETERAN HOSPITALITY EXECUTIVE APRIL URBINE NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES
SalesBoost, the revolutionary, online sales training and coaching program for hospitality that boosts confidence, performance and most importantly revenue results, announced today that veteran hospitality sales leader April Urbine has been named the company’s Executive Vice President of Sales. She will assume her new role on February 1st, 2019 and will report directly to SalesBoost CEO & Founder Gretta Brooks.
In the capacity of Executive Vice President of Sales, April will be leading and overseeing all sales related efforts and initiatives for the company.
Most recently Urbine served for over 8 years as Senior Vice President, Private Event Sales for ClubCorp where she oversaw a nationwide team of Regional Private Event Directors and managed the company’s national sales organization.
Prior to ClubCorp Urbine spent 23 years serving Wyndham Worldwide rising to Vice President of Global Sales, North America. In this capacity, she managed more than 50 industry sales professionals and implemented strategic sales initiatives. Earlier roles at Wyndham included regional director of national sales, regional vice president of sales, divisional vice president of sales and regional director of sales.
Urbine has long been active in numerous industry trade organizations including the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) and the Association of Club Catering Professionals (ACCP).
A native of Philadelphia, Urbine has resided in the Dallas area for the past 22 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality from East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. April and her husband Bret have two sons: Austin, 18 and Preston 15.
